This Ramadan, Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul welcomes guests for a unique Iftar feast, featuring highlights of traditional Turkish cuisine set against captivating views of the Bosphorus shore.
This year’s Iftar menu is curated by internationally acclaimed Chef Ömür Akkor, who has been honing his culinary expertise over 25 years.
The feast will commence with bold flavours from Anatolian cuisines, such as Urfa egg balls, Kilis pickles and Erciyes-style dried pastrami, whilst the main course includes seasoned rice, lamb tandoori, Arabian fried rice and Çayeli beans with ribs, reminiscent of the vibrant dishes served to Sultans at Seljukian Palaces. This gastronomic journey will conclude with ‘Halva-i Hakan’ from Edirne Palace, Milky Halva from Bursa, and Kilis-style ‘Heavenly Mud’ for dessert.
